Why Camp?

We all need time away. Whether it’s vacation to the beach, a road trip across the country, camping or a trip abroad, we all need a change of pace. Youth camps offer teens this type of time away but also a chance to focus on their relationship with God.

There are many distractions in today’s world that pull all of us away from the things that matter. We are so focused on how many “likes” or comments are made on our social media posts. We get wrapped up in the black hole of “YouTube” and can spend endless hours gaming. Youth camp removes these distractions and allows teens the chance to meet new friends, develop friendships and hear from God.

We have seen teens transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We have testimony after testimony of teens delivered from suicidal thoughts, depression and feelings of worthlessness. Some teens have made heard plans for their lives as far as what college to attend or what profession to pursue.

These changes don’t end when camp ends, however. Many teens have brought their camp experiences back to their home churches and have encouraged other teens. Youth camp can be a powerful experience, not only for the teens but for everyone who attends.
